Have a new / old High speed pinball. Does anyone have any thoughts on how to strip mylar from the playfield.

There are basically three methods

Freeze spray
Hair dryer (heat)
and Goo Gone (not to be mistaken for Goo off)

Search mylar removal and those key words and you will find write ups for each technique, pros and cons.

Here is one I quickly found on one of them. My preferred method is freeze spray, but each pf presents different challenges.

If the playfield isn't super nice in non-mylared areas then DON'T DO IT!

The wood was dry/cracked in non-mylared areas.  Removing the mylar exposed the cracks in the rest of the pf.

Okay now that you guys scared me from removing the mylar. Is there a way to make old mylar look new?????
