I'm hoping to contribute to CPR by doing a backglass. I don't wanna reveal the backglass title until I'm committed to the project. The hardest part seems to be finding a graphics company in Ottawa that does large format scanning. I found one place "Gilmour Productions", but their scanner must roll the glass through. The maximum thickness can be 1/4". http://global.oce.com/products/TC4-scanner/Default.aspxIt seems a bit scary to roll painted-glass through the scanner. They mentioned noone in Ottawa has a Cruise (flatbed) scanner. Any ideas of where in Ottawa (or Montreal) to find a good graphics shop with a large-format flat bed scanner. Or a large-format photo-table? |

It's tricky for sure.. you might be better off trying to get one of those old hand-held scanners and piecing it together in Photoshop |

I called the Akran place and got a quick quote of $150.
Seems pricey. Maybe a bad time to call on Friday afternoon. |

Great - good to know. Yeah, I guess the price seems fair. The roller-scanner quoted $5 a sq-foot - so roughly $40. The guy wasn't too interested was more the comment. Its definitely worth a shot. |
