Hey all,
This is a playfield I did for BZM. He has had this machine for a while now and I twisted his arm to give me his playfield.
The playfield was mylared all over the middle, so wear was minimal in that area... or so I thought. I will get back to that.
Other wear spots were the inlanes and outlanes near the flippers, left ''ramp'' to send the ball to the top of the playfield had severe ball tracks, wood was chewed up around the swinging target in the middle, wear around the in-line drop targets, bad ball track up-top, and wear around the pops.
I basically dissassembled it, cleaned it, and removed the mylar... that is when I noticed that it was covering massive dryness... paint was cracked once cleaned. So I basically repainted all the black everywhere in the middle, and even then it soaked up a lot of clear.
I retouched all the spots, and even made a new plastic for it as the clear one beside the left flipper was toast.
I am overall satisfied with the results, considering it was a low-budget job. He just wanted it clean... not perfect.
So here are before pics:
