Great deal on these NOS promo plastics, $7 shipping included. But the funny part is that I got them by an eBay "Second Chance" offer. That's what the game says when the ball saver is activated.
Could someone explain to me what promo plastics do? Or were intended for? I understand promo posters and flyers, but plastics?

Basically extras that were made as they silk-screened the plastics for the game. Like cutting cookies out of dough - there's lot's of wasted space. So they make some extra art-work and cut those out as key-fobs, coasters, etc...
Check out CPR - the new Cyclone plastics - lots of extras there - or checkout their layouts in the photos section I believe.

Actually, send those to Mike (Newf)... it is his birthday after all!
...On a more serious side, keyfobs are cool to have. Nice touch on a game. Some can be rare. Pre-Maaca, I managed to make a good amount of coin on one. I bought a lot of pinball parts on Ebay and when I got them, I put up for sale what I didn't use. At the bottom odf the box was a keyfob in a plastic bag, never used and in mint shape. I put it up for sale and expected to get a buck or two for it, since it didn't even have graphics on it, just lettering...
... well, it sold for 192$US in the end (when the dollar was at 82 cents!). Shocked the hell out of me, considering it was a tiny piece of plastic. Maybe because it had "BLACK KNIGHT" written on it... Apparently, these are quite rare... accortding to the buyer anyways.
