I love the enthusiasm but, we have to make it so that families can enjoy it, some kids wear the T-shirts. as well so those mottos are great for an off shoot T-shirt, it might be projecting the wrong idea of what we are about "fun for all". as for the rough idea i did was just an example done real quickly, most of it is borrowed modified images like Daphne from Dragons Lair (I am not that great of an artist). even then I am not sure if we can put her on a T-shirt with copy right laws, i really dont feel like getting sued. as a software choice (Adobe Illustrator) for design> vectorial lines so doesnt matter how big or small I make it the lines will always be perfect no grainy finish. working in layers (yes photoshop does it too) so I can create a layer for for each color plate makes the printers job easier and less expensive for us. but then again if somone wants to do thier own run of a T-shirt or other merchandise there is nothing stopping you from doing it. if it gets the word out great! i just want to offer people a chance to do something they want.

I don't have ideas for logo.
I am not graphic orientated
But do have a few different lines that could maybe used.

Maaca Where friends and Family play can Play.
Maaca where the nearest arcade is your basement.
Maaca Where the nearest machine for sale is not always on ebay!!
Maaca Where the help of friends will always get you more addicted to pinball and arcades!!
Maaca When pinball and arcades are still the in thing!!!
Maaca From coast to coast arcades come as one!!
Maaca From East to West there's always a basement arcade available!

Maaca Where there's only one Crazy Jim maybe not good but funny

Life is like Pinball!! You never know where you will bounce or where your going but sometimes you have that one amazing shot But on the other hand you have those darn gutter ball where you just get frustrated.

Just a note that I've been working on a logo.
It's simple.
It meets the original criteria of the moderators.
It's also family friendly.

I'm also pleased to announce that the preliminary sketches have gained approval from my focus group.
Well, it's not so much a 'group'; it's more like some guy that I bother form time to time....
And it's not like he really 'approved' them but he also didn't say that they totally suck so I took that as a positive.

Anyways, I need to know the maximum width & height dimensions so that I can continue onto the drafting phase.

Thank-you
Adam

Hey All,

Other than that all we need is a Maaca Motto on the bottom of the caption.  What do you think of these (Even Sparky hasn't heard these ones yet)?

Maaca - Play hard and fast, and be sure to bring your girlfriend ...he he

Maaca - Careful we play rough this side of the border!

Maaca - It's all fun and games, except when it comes to PINBALL!

Maaca - Where its okay to "tilt" but just don't spill your drink!"

Maaca - We keep our balls in motion!

Well I thought these were a blast.  Well I guess I'll just have to create my own underground Maaca t-shirt design (.....eventually.....).

I have one and thats it.   if artwork is needed i might be able to get something done.  but also there is alot of great free clip art or other artwork on the net that is copyright free.

don't know if its gold or anything.  but if we came up with a space theme logo the saying could be, "we are from MAACA. take us to your pinball."

Hey, don't let me deter you, it is a contest afterall.
I only posted because I didn't know if there was a time limit and I didn't want to miss the deadline.

As far as design meeting the moderators criteria... I just meant that it fulfills their initial guidelines. Heck, they haven't even seen it yet.

Just wanted to clarify things.

Adam

I wouldn't trust a focus group like that. The guy is probably just pulling your leg and wants to see you fall and burn.....

Not that I would know anything about that

ok, first kick at the cat.
I've blocked my sketch into excel so I could upload it.

Not too bad but it has some issues.
I would like to increase the height while keeping the width approx the same so that the line segments gain more body.
Also, the upper and lower lines of text needs to be thicker or they will never show up on a shirt.

Oh, and of course I need to add the colours.
I also have some other ideas with flames and bubbles that I will work on as time permits.

Made some adjustments but I'm still not happy with it.
I think the fonts will have to be changed... A job for tomorrow, my head hurts.
