Nascar/Grand Prix The Sopranos Elvis Ripley's Believe It Or Not! Lord Of The Rings Terminator 3 The Simpsons Pinball Party RollerCoaster Tycoon Playboy Monopoly Austin Powers High Roller Casino Sharkey's Shootout Striker Xtreme
1.Lord Of The Rings 2.The Simpsons Pinball Party 3.Elvis 4.Ripley's Believe It Or Not!
Those are the only ones i played.
I think LOTR has a stunning look and got a theme i prefer over all the others (yes i read the book before the movies and i also enjoyed the movies a lot). Great game overall, i love it.
Simpsons is funny and got a lot going on. Lots to do etc... i'm not over excited on the Simpsons theme and thinks the art is a bit too much (so many things to look at your eyes gets sore .
ELVIS was set on MAX level and tended to drain a lot when i played it. Short games but i like the playfield layout and the art isnt too bad. I'd take it over RBION.
RBION isnt too bad to play for a while but gets boring fast, the one i played was too easy to win replays on. If i remember well theres an annoying hole shot in the middle of the playfield too.

WORST:
Nascar/Grand Prix The Sopranos Elvis Ripley's Believe It Or Not! Lord Of The Rings Terminator 3 The Simpsons Pinball Party RollerCoaster Tycoon Playboy Monopoly Austin Powers High Roller Casino Sharkey's Shootout Striker Xtreme

tartagliag - I think he was looking for a legit answer not some "stern sucks" post. Lets hope this post doesn't turn into a stern bashing post.
You forgot Harley. It's on the bottom of my list which is why I remembered it
I haven't played these:
Nascar/Grand Prix - would love to play this one and would probably like it. I love the theme (Grand Prix) and the looping balls looks cool (a la GetAway! but bigger )
Elvis - had the chance at Expo 2004, but the line ups were too big and to be honest, I hate the look of the game and the theme does nothing for me. Austin Powers
That leaves these...
Lord Of The Rings LOVED it the first time I played it. It's an awesome game. LOVE the theme and the fact that it covers ALL three movies (a la IJ ). Great flow, decent artwork for a Stern, awesome modes, super challenging!
Terminator 3 What T3 above SPP??? YES! Why? I love the flow and the overall feel of the game. It's super easy to understand and start playing from the start. That's my main complaint with SPP -- it's a great game, but you need someone to explain it to start enjoying it. Ritchie did a great job of improving upon T2. He seems to be the master of sequels. I like GetAway way more than Highspeed. One can argue if BK is better than BK2K....but that's another story. I also like the artwork on this one. Hated the look of it in pictures, but when I saw it in person I really liked it. Only negative is the drop target (located in the centre) can send the ball SDTM.
The Simpsons Pinball Party Really liked the game once I had someone there to explain what shots to make. I'm sure this would be a great home game, but I'm not sure I really like it on location. Too clunky. I don't find the game has great flow, but I haven't played it alot.
Ripley's Believe It Or Not! I actually like this game quite a bit. I like the tic tac toe board, the varitarget, the vibrant colours...only thing lacking is the speech is weak. I would definately own one though if the price keeps going down.
Monopoly I like this game. Fun and very colourful artwork. Nice theme, good quotes, and some challenging shots -- especially the ramp that drops the ball right in front of the flippers. I haven't played it alot, but would certainly drop some change in it if I saw it on location.
Playboy Ok when I played this I was distracted. Cann't really remember the game play, only that I focused on hitting the shots to see the girls Fun game, but not one that will end up in my game room.
High Roller Casino Fun game on location. SUPER EASY. I played one in Calgary and I kept getting free games. Alot of stop and go and I mean really stop and go. I recall a cash register or something that captures the ball and then a wall or something has to come down to release the ball. Got annoyed with that.
Striker Xtreme Not a great game, but not that bad. It looked good when it first came out. I remember seeing it at the Toronto airport and being bummed out that I couldn't play it (I was between flights). Not a stellar game, but seems to be available CHEAP.
These games SUCK and I won't play them even on free play:
The Sopranos Yuck! Played at Allentown and the game is SLOW.
RollerCoaster Tycoon Played at Expo 2004 and couldn't understand the game. Now I had been playing for hours straight and it was late/early in the morning, but I just couldn't get into the game. Didn't find it very inspiring. Left in the middle of the game to play Indy 500.
Sharkey's Shootout Wayyyyy tooooo EASY! And nothing to do but start multiball. Medvet and I left in the middle of a 2 player game at Allentown
Harley Davidson Same as Sharky's. Too easy. Basically go for multiball, lather, rinse, repeat...
I have to somewhat agree with tartagliag. Whenever I am out of town with my wife, we try to hunt down a machine or two. So far I've played LOTR, Southpark (not mentioned above)one or two that I can't remember, and striker extreme. Everywhere I've gone so far that had Stern machines had at least 1 not working at all, and with exception of LOTR, all of them had some problem or other. That aside, I found I watched the machine play itself more than I played it. (ie nearly every shot on the table was some sort of capture or long ramp shot) I also hate hate hate hate that I don't get to shoot the ball into play. We could never get a 2 player game going on southpark, it was either one or three. With so many cool games out there, I couldn't imagine paying full pop for a NIB Stern, and I'd be scared of a used one.
I guess I am dissing Stern in general, but to be fair, with the exception of the reliability issues, most of these gripes come down to personal preference. Until I restored the HH for my wife this summer, I hadn't played a game of pinball since Adams Family was current, and I just prefer the older style I guess.
Honest, I'm not trying to perpetuate a "Stern Sucks" thread, I just thought I'd throw out the dissappointments and see what others think about it.
BTW it seemed on southpark that the ball would take a really wonky path when it was moving slowly around the centre drain. Are there some magnets under there to make it do that on purpose? Has anyone else seen this?
Again, I rank them for playability, not 'reliability'...as stated before, Stern...well...aren't too reliable...
Best are:
1. LOTR Great machine...love the flow and shots. I'm not a LOTR fan, thus it's not due to the theme, but the actual game.
2. TSPP Lots of things to do! I like the theme as well...a nice machine!
3. Elvis I don't think it's "that bad"...I've played it on a boat and really enjoyed it. I'm not a huge Elvis fan, but it's a decent game to play.
4. Sopranos Theme SUCKS (SuckPranos), the game is easy, but it has a few nice shots. Safe is horrible and the last 3 times I've played it on location (not the same locations BTW), the safe was broken.
5. Playboy Decent gameplay, but try to get this machine home with a wife (and/or kids)...
6. anything else Just plain SUCKS...I'll play them if there's only that game to play, but I wasn't impressed by all the other TURDS.
I'm done.

Current 'working' lineup: ( 2 ) Flipper Football, The Shadow
Gone but not forgotten: ( 22 ) City Slicker, Dirty Harry, CFTBL, Big Shot, Big Guns, Black Rose, Judge Dredd, Indianapolis 500, Big Game, BS: Dracula x 2, Beat the Clock, Fire!, F-14 Tomcat, Getaway, Breakshot, Cheetah, Meteor, El Dorado, Nitro Ground Shaker, Chexx Hockey, Slugfest
In the same pile as the others... it doesn't do anything for me, even though I'm a HUGE F1 fan... the 'circuit' is just too slooooow...
