Lookey here: http://www.bostonpinball.biz/eBay052910.htm

US eBay sales of pinballs are half of what they were last year ago and on a steady decline (combination recession and eBay "savvy" - also known as "greed").  Interestingly the average sale price of pins hasn't dropped sgnificantly (averaging around $1200 for all titles charted).

TX-Sector averaging around $500, top sale $700, but only 10 sold on eBay in the past 6 years.

STTNG averaging $2500 in the past 6 months, with 14 eBay sales in the past 6 months... definitely a hot title.

Title sold most often on eBay in the past 6 months?  "KISS" sold 30 times for an average cost of US$2012.  Fan grease paint not included.

Twilight Zone sold 25 times in the past 6 months for an average cost of $3300.

How does the Mr.Pinball guide get its prices for pins?
Seems that these days Ebay is taking over for all statistics.. even my collection of slot cars are being misguided by the all mighty Ebay.

They explain it in the book.  The factors they take into consideration.   Too lengthy for me to repeat here.

And don't forget the bats eyes and goat whiskers....all very important to their formulae....how else are they going to sell a "guide" year after year that only makes incremental changes in a market (or any collector market for that matter) where the commodity's value is all but nebulous.
