That could work, if we made a pinball-specific tracker site...; problem would be seeding - unless a few of use agreed to seed the Brock's entire library...
Did your hosting site remove the files without any discussion? That seems rather communist of them?

Actually, that would be fascist of them. If they were communists, they'd have no problem with copyright infringement and anti-capitalist tendencies.

Actually they're legally bound to thanks to the DMCA. It's my duty (and right) to file a counter notification which basically absolves them of all legal ties to my files, and I assume all responsibility should a court case arise.

Alas, the good fight has been faught. I have received an official C&D from WMS Gaming Inc., and I will abide by it. That being said, I've brought to their attention some serious concerns with the business practices of Mr. Pinball Australia. For example.. how can you enforce IP rights when you sell 60-in-1 machines? That's what I'd like to know.
Clearly a conflict of interest, and I'm sure WMS Gaming Inc. must understand my concerns with the validity of Wayne's claims of being an official agent of theirs when he's selling pirated versions of their own software (as well as others, such as Namco and Nintendo).
My point has been made, I've removed any questionable content and am in discussion with a representative from WMS Gaming Inc.
My goal was never to be a martyr for the pinball community, it's a shame it's come to this.

I think you made a good point and brought a lot of attention to the hobbyist's plight. But I echo Daniel's concern; is that it? Just drop it and life goes on or have they planned any action against you?

It's pretty sad because all I saw was a guy trying to help out others with what they would like now not when "one guy" decides when he'll make it!

Yeah that must give you some real comfort as his lawyers try and usher you out of your worldly posessions for doing something considerably less offensive and championing guys trying to restore their old machines. Unless he bought the license to all 60 games he's profitting from a new machine with ripped off ROM's. As a buyer and seller there is no legal basis to say you have existing rights because you likely don't own all the machines in that 60-1 nor have the rights to sell them. This is the opposite IMHO of the art you provided for guys to restore what they already own.
If he keeps attacking your hosting why not go peer to peer? AFIAK you have rights to reproduce what you already own to fix up your own machine. The art is a means to assist in restoration. I mean however shitty it would come out what's to stop me taking a picture of my computer screen, cutting it out and sticking that onto my machine. Artwork comes in many forms. What next, I won't have the right to even look at this mess without paying Wayne to do so?
