Whatcha think? I know NOTHING about values. I just want to know that if I decided to sell it, I wouldn't lose my shirt. As well, whether this thing will be fixable or if they're generally lost causes once they're busted. Thanks to the Juke experts! Daniel
not worth it in my books. you should have jumped on the two rockola's i sold for $450 for the pair. this one only hold 50 45's. thats not much. are you looking for one for home? i have one that need minor work which i was told was a older fuse (haven't looked for one). it works and you can have it for $250 for you. come in and look and try it out.
I just got a 1963 Rock-Ola (with visible mechs) for $600) - I was lucky too and had mindstorm look it over too for a few extra $$$. It looks a lot the one you posted, but with visible mechs (and holds 50 records - 100 selections like the one you posted - hey the B-sides aren't bad actually). Love it so far, novelty for now, but I think its neat and definately looks purdy.
Jukes are a whore to repair, unless you know a lot about the mechanics of it, i bought one that was broken, and no matter what i did, could never get it working, so i sold it for way less then i paid, then i bought a totally refurbished 1961 Seeburg AY160 from Jack's Jukebox in Guelph, and it's worked flawlessly for me for about 4 years now.

I thought about a juke for a while, decided on a virtual instead... since all of my music is digital, and stored on a central server. and i have a few "junker" wireless capable laptops to power it.
You have had good experience fixing EM's right? The older jukes are similar and if you are willing to spend the time it is very rewarding when you get it working. I have fixed plenty of the older ones myself. The worst ones to deal with are the Wurlitzers from my experience.
Don't even attempt it without the service manual as there are a lot of mechanical adjustments especially on the cam limits to within 1/32"
Sounds like the juke is not working from the ad, so $300 would be a more reasonable value.
If anyone wants a Seeburg Consolette (wallbox) there's a nice looking one in Montreal for $95. I don't own a Seeburg, but might eventually own an AY/DS - and I believe the stepper (if there on the console) can be modified for this.

Enlighten the ignorant. The wall boxes don't play music, right? They just stack up a selection at the main juke? Or?
By my research, the wallboxes just allow you to remotely select some songs. Usually a subset of the selections because the wallbox might not have enough room for all the buttons (i.e., a 200 selection juke would require 30 buttons). There's a few wires from the wall to the juke that signal the main juke for song selection. There's some neat logic there to block out users who simultaneously are making selections.
The wallboxes had some neat "money grabbing" features by having local speakers. The speakers only worked for a few songs, so you'd have to keep pumping quarters in for your speakers to work.
I believe a lot of folks gut these and make little ipod-devices, etc.
