This arcade is controlled by Starburst (from what I understand).... They have a lone Batman.... but it is a REALLY poor shape.  A shame since it is a very new machine.  They could at least clean it.

cheers

It's a new Stern...  seems to be a trait of these games.  After about 100 or so plays they start to get REALLY dirty, which isn't very Op friendly.

I've seen them dirty at locations as well. I suspect they are getting ALOT more than 100 plays. My HUO LOTR still shines and it has a thousand plays or so (need to check audits). MY HUO TSPP was absolutely clean as a whistle before I shopped it. I suspect it had a few hundred plays, but cann't be certain as new ROMs were installed and only showed 200 hundred.

In pretty much every instance that I have seen Starburst games on location they seem to be dirty and malfunctioning.  I would guess lack of maintenance and care, pretty typical operator tactic to save money.

Seems like Starburst only sends people to collect money, all repairs seem to be done at head office, I find many of their machines are in that type condition.

Why would a machine get dirtier on location in a few months than in years in a home? Are they really played that much more? Or is it the fact that it has black rubbers, or that the machine is on all the time?

Black rubbers is the number one factor, but certainly the environment, heat and poor build has a lot to do with it, Stern toys are light-weights.

Sorry guys, my mistake....

The Silver City Ancaster has a Shrek - that is in pretty good condition.

It was the Silver City Burlington I was thinking about with the Stern Batman.

PS: By the way, Star Trek is AWESOME!  The guy from Hero's (Syler) is great, you wouldn't even guess he wasn't Spock
