Haven't documented the process but wanted to share my blurry photos of my mame arcade machine I've always dreamed of having.  Now my 4 year old has pacman fever.  It's awesome.

Bought side art from mamemarquees (Was a birthday gift so I don't know the cost, I suppose I could look)

Bought the arcade box for $150 from a gutted bowling game from a local guy who refurbs pinball machines.

Added a 19" dell 4:3 lcd monitor I had lying around (Previous gutted monitor was also 19" so the bezel flipped 45 degrees fit perfectly)

2.6ghz dual core amd 64 with 4gb memory running windows 7 with wifi so I can play more modern games too (was a spare computer).

Added a panasonic dolby digital receiver for audio with sub woofer for great sound and can double as a music box (also a spare system that was donated to me for the project).

Bought 2 3' stools from Ikea for seating ($50 each).

X-arcade tank stick with trackball for $199

I didn't create everything from scratch like most of you guys (I'm terrible at woodworking anyway) but this is totally worth it.

Nice job-I like the side art.  Haven't checked out mamemarquees in a while-I should see what they have.

I take it that the bezel came with the machine?  I should really get around to making one for my MAME, since it's been without for a long time.

Thanks so much for the replies.  Yes the bezel came with the old cabinet.  As I stated it was in portrait mode and I flipped it to landscape mode to fit the 4:3 LCD.  The slots for the quarters and such also came with the cabinet.  I just needed to connect them to a power source (my computer power supply) to get them to light up.  Everything kind of fit nicely.

Great work.  I was looking at those Tankstick/trackball thingies, and the only thing holding me back was the buttons, i don't really play games that need more than 3 or 4 buttons, would be great if they made a 3 or 4 button per player model.
So when does the first pinball arrive?
