Hi, I have a system 6 MPU board that lights up but does not flash. Looks like someone used plumbing solder with flux on two connectors and the solders have joined (touching).... I think maybe an easy repair, but no way to test it out..... I no longer have a system 6 game (nor will I be getting one)
I would be willing to trade for a set of 28.5"legs, or $40
Interested?
If you get it to fully work, it's worth about $150 US on ebay....
Just thought I'd ask. I could even mail it to you (you pay shipping?? if you don't have the legs.
I have bought partially working System 7 boards for $25.
Non-working undiagnosed is worth about as much as it weighs in scrap. Unless your good at fixing them they really aren't worth anything non-working. Many are not worth fixing due to physical condition and there are enough parted games around to look for something decent to start with. Only dead board you will see me pay good money for is a WPC95 A/V board period.
I suggest not making any assumptions as to what is wrong with a board if you don't have a clue WTF is wrong with it. From experience I have put more into components into a board than the board is worth in some cases. If you don't get a kick out of fixing them, go find a good one.
28.5 Legs. I have the longer legs (DE I think) I would trade for shorter chrome (equal condition not rusted out schite) Sys11/WPC legs.
Yeah, perhaps your right.... even if it is an easy fix (which I do not know), it is worth almost nothing to me - as I can't even test it without a System 6 game.
There is no other damage to the board, it is very clean.
Ok, I'm sure you aren't interested, but I'd sell it to you for $25.
Necro - As for the legs... I only have the 30" black ones.... Apparently all DE came with 30" legs??? My TOMMY seams aweflly high with them however????
The offers out there if your interested.... if not, no worries.
Yeah DE are longer legs, but they put the mounting points up higher on the cab so the end result is the machine sits at roughly the same height as WPC with the shorter legs. At least this is the way Gn'R is and it's sitting almost flush to an HSII right beside it with shorter legs.
As for the board I have enough on my plate. Pretty sure I could fix it if someone really needed one and just couldn't find a good one. It just wouldn't get any priority until WW is finished as I really tend to focus on one project at a time and see it to completion before moving on to the next.
