What do you feel a Junkyard is worth? I believe it is a good game, how challenging? how fun?
Thx
Drew
Current Lineup: Black Knight, Riverboat Gambler, Ripley's Believe it or Not, Flintstones, Orbitor 1, Wipe Out, Breakshot, The Simpsons Pinball Party, Fish Tales, Eight Ball and a 60 in 1 Cocktail.
Junkyard is work anywhere between $2600 - $3000 depending on condition.
Difficulty wise, it's a pretty easy game, collect the junk, play the modes, go to outerspace, wash rinse repeat. Throw a multiball or 2 in there and you have Junyard.
Junkyards redeaming features are in the toys and uniqness of the game, the crane is a very unique toy, toilet bowl, dog ramp is interesting with the diverter, but the game generally does not do well in a small collection. It works well in a larger collection where you can play it once and a while
I owend a JY for a few months, traded it to ME who hated it.
I'd own one again at some point if one came up at a decent price, but for the money I'd rahter get a RBION or some other B type title.
I am loving my JY. It is a simple game, but after playing est. 100+ games so far, I have yet to get to outer space... Close but no cigar.
I like the game becasue it is very different then any other PIN I have owned or played. The game is very interactive as a game, and also as a standard pinball. There are many toys to entertain you, and there are also some cool MODS for this machine. I am currently pimping out mine, and will post pictures when complete.
I paid $2200 for mine. But I figure with the MODs and minor repairs (plastic curve wreck cars, inside cabinet artwork, other) I will be into a 9/10 machine for under $2500.
Well worth it is your collection is JUST PINS... adds to the overall gamesroom effect.
AND I shouldn't forget, the artwork on teh cabinet is second to non.... in my opinion.
I'd pass on that game. Deadly dull. I was fortunate enough to get to play MedVet's in the brief time she had it and it is truely a terrible game. I say fortunate as I was able to take it off my list. And it's not an easy sell either. Seriously think twice before you get one.

I agree, stay away. No game has every irritated me so much. Only pin I can say I hate.
If you really want one, I would reccomend you play it for a considerable time before buying it. You will tire of it quickly.
It has been scientifically proven that light is faster than sound. That is why some people seem brilliant........until they open their mouth!
Is it an atom? No, it's multiball! Complete MAACA-Wacko!

I had the opportunity to try tglovers machine when it was still with the previous owner. I liked it and there's no doubt it has a decent value in the marketplace. For someone like myself who will never keep more than 4 machines at a time in the game room, I try make sure all my games are very different in style and theme, which they are. I think most will agree that having several machines with a lot of similarities kinda defeats the purpose. Anyway, I am sure that in many collections Junkyard is a uniquely styled machine and fits in great. Lots of toys, a wrecking ball etc.
Also, I guess it depends on the style of play and style of machine you prefer. I like a lot of toys.
Junk Yard is a very annoying game. There's always the same thing to do, as soon you've collected all the objects. For me, one of the worst Williams pinball dot machine. The rules are ridiculous : you don't understand anything (a woman who takes a bath, a dog, Bob the mad, etc...). The two video modes are easy, and repetitive. On location, in medium difficulty, I've made in one play, 4 outer space and 17 video mode... Fed up with this pinball !
You're going to find you either love it or hate it. There seems to be no middle ground on this pin. Personally, I like it, but as previously stated, it doesn't do well in a small collection, and it is really really hard to resell. It took a good 6 months to sell mine.
You'll also find on most of them, the horseshoe car plastic is broken (Kerry Stair makes a fantastic replacement, which is far more durable).
It's also true that gameplay is repetitive. I got to the point where I could get to outer space twice in a game...which...at that point, you have to ask...why bother trying for a third time?
On the plus side...it features video modes "Saucer Attack" from Attack From Mars, "Move Your Car" from Creature from the Black Lagoon, and "The Mamushka" from The Addams Family. There's also a "Midnight Madness" mode, if you're playing when the internal clock strikes midnight. There's another secret mode that's activated at 3:33 by pressing flipper buttons 3 times.
It offers a lot of unique playfield toys. It's a good play in small doses.
The only thing you should consider is that you're going to tie up a lot of money that might be better spent on another machine. If you love the machine, do it! If you're only so-so about it, stay away and find something that's better suited to your needs. Everyone's taste is different.
I used the money I got from selling mine to buy The Addams Family, which I enjoy far more.
At least it's not an evil drain pig, like Pinbot.
