Yep!  So long as it's exactly 128x32 pixels and done in shades of red ;)

(note current release (0.9.8)  will convert images done in shades of white, red, yellow, blue and green)

More updates today!

Added 8 frame animation ability.
Now you can load frames, click "add to animation" button and load more, repeat (etc)... then click animate and the dots will animate accordingly, to give some idea how the product will look on a real display.

I tested an output file of this animation function on a real DMD yesterday, and I'll tell ya, it's just amazing. I wish I could capture it on a camcorder or something, but I don't have one. It was 8 frames of animation, each frame composed of 4-level shading .... very cool stuff.

There are free public sites like RapidShare and Megaupload.  I've never used them, so I don't know what it is involved in them.

I got to play around with this last night, works 100% as advertised!

It is heavily relient on Photoshop to make the images though, in four-color red.
Which is no problem really, if you know photoshop well. (I don't)
But after a short crash-course from cyBORG, I'm making images !!!

Can't say as I can find any bugs in the conversion program, other than a
small installer-related issue. It's simple to use, outputs the exact format
required for my DMD s/w, both in single frame, and animated formats.

Upcoming release version 0.9.82

There is a link at the top to download the "early" beta software package from, I'm having some problems with the setup.exe version at the moment.  Worst case with this version you have to install some VB6 runtimes and maybe a common control or common dialog.  This currently available version is an "early public beta" version being hosted off a page which is temporarily also the readme file.  This will be updated soon.

Unzip the file to a directory where the program will live.

Attempt to start it.

If you get a DLL error, look for that DLL on google, or Microsoft.com (a windows patch, update, etc), or post your error here.
