First of all can we buy a Hyperpin, or we can just build it?
What's the big difference between an Ultrapin and a Hyperpin?
If we can only build it...What are the parts you need to do it?
How do upload all of the 150 games on it?
How much does a project like this cost?
I'd like to have one.
Info on this would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
Claude.

Hey Claude!

Depending on how many parts you have laying around, you're probably looking at 2k-ish.

as much as i hate to reccomend other forums, Hyperpin/Hyperspin forums have lots of info on custom builds.

Pins:  TMNT (visiting Sparky)
Pinzilla (multipin project) (GOing to visit Terry!)

Vids:  going away... nothing but Mame is staying

I saw your thread axe....looks like a cool project, but I'm not good enough in electronics to do this.
I know I'll have to take an old cabinet and put an LCD screen in it, but after doing this, I would'nt know what the hell I've got to do....
What computer have I got to put in it?
how do I program the computer?
What kind of buttons (flipper) do I use? Where do I connect them on the computer?
Etc........................

Lots and lots of examples and walkthroughs on the hyperspin forums (cabinet forum has a lot of examples in it)  But it all depends on how nice of a performance you want.  You could pay $6000 for an official ultrapin with a few tables, or you could spend less than half that, and build a nice one, that would play sooo many more tables.

All up to you though.

Claude,

A par ça, I agree 100%.
