How about photoshopping a picture of a Novus #2 bottle to say "MAACA #2" with a slogan under it like "dont play dirty". If you guys like that idea I'll whip it up tonight! |

Another idea, outline of a pinball machine with "MAACA" on the backglass. Under it written "nudge this." realizing my ideas are pinball oriented. i'm just bored at work so bear with me. |

Ooooook... this always pops up when the name of the group is mentioned.
I know, I know.... Montreal doesn't necessarily represent the whole group, I understand. I am quite open to changing the name, but not the letters. People everywhere identify with MAACA. Same thing with CGCC... you can change the words, but change the letters, and people are lost.
So I tell you guys what... find words that go with MAACA, and we might change it... better to simply change the first word though... from Montreal to... I dunno... Multi-Canadian... whatever....
Caandian? CAACA? It does make for interesting possibilities, but might be a little crazy... here could be funny mottos:
CAACA... We are so good that we are full of... arcade games.
CAACA... Where games can smell worse...
For MAACA, we had tons... there have been other threads on this. Here are some examples:
MAACA... a REAL player's club!
...got your game on?
...We beat balls and slap sticks!
...We are the smart ones who figured out that it is cheaper to buy a game than keep feeding it quarters.
And it goes on and on...

Well, I am from Calgary, and I certainly don't have a problem with the name! I think it is Multi-Canadian enough just by letting anyone join!! Did you ever try to join the Vancouver based group? "Well, you can't be a full member, we have to meet you" What a load of Crap!! You play Pinball, I play Pinball, You want to sell a Game, I want to buy a game. What difference does it make where I am! Sure it is tough to go to their tourneys or meetings, but I have made lots of friends through this list (Some of them I didn't even give money to!), and I am glad I found it! I say MAACA is Fine the way it is!! Rant over, Please go about your business, Nothing to see here, Move along, Move along! Dave |
| Here are games I would like to acquire this year, or sometime...

You know what? I love the fact that there are members everywhere. The thing I find really cool is visiting other members, playing some games, and chatting away. Let's face it... it's what this whole hobby is all about anyways. You haven't played pinball or vids until you have had a few people over, crack open a cool brew, munch on some chips and just have fun. It really isn't about the games... it's about the people. As for the Vancouver based group, I can't say much since I don't know them, but if they want to restrain their membership, their cal... but they are missing out! As for meetings, I know it isn't easy... Adam (Goodicksa) keeps telling me that he would love nothing more than to attend one! But keep the following in mind... MAACA has gone national for quite some time now. We do believe that there can be different chapters, like the Toronto chapter, the Western chapter (you guys!), and the Eastern chapter (us so far). We have always encouraged to organize your own meetings in your area... why the hell not??? One day, I will go see you guys and have some fun. I made the same promise to the T.O. boys a while back, and I certainly do intend to fulfill it. Just remember this about the meetings... once you have many people over and play games or even shop em out, you get hooked!!!! Sparky |

Hey All, I think JD3 came up with some great design elements for the Maaca T-shirt. The woman is incredible, even for a cartoon and the Space Invader monster is easily recognizable. What I suggested is that JD3 position her on a pinball machine (sexy pose of course) with the Space Invader Monster in the backround or coming out out of the videogame (Suggestions for pintitle include Scared Stiff he he, Funhouse, GNR ? . She already has a look of surprise on her face and is looking away in shock/fear. This would represent the two main factions of this organization (Pinheads and Vidio...er I mean Vid Guys). Other than that all we need is a Maaca Motto on the bottom of the caption. What do you think of these (Even Sparky hasn't heard these ones yet)? Maaca - Play hard and fast, and be sure to bring your girlfriend ...he he Maaca - Careful we play rough this side of the border! Maaca - It's all fun and games, except when it comes to PINBALL! Maaca - Where its okay to "tilt" but just don't spill your drink!" Maaca - We keep our balls in motion! flashman |
