There's one called the R9 I think. It comes
with a mini sd card in it and you need to find a website to download the games. We got ours at a Chinese mall near Toronto, the kind of place that sells illegal bootleg DVDs. The guy gave us a website to go to for downloading the game files but that was a year ago and I was told the change around the websites regularly.
Make sure you get one preloaded with the basic software to operate vs. a completely blank one that needs
to be loaded from scratch.

Yes I also got one of these.  Do not load the card fully or when it tries to save a game the card will become corrupt.

THe new SuperCard DSTWO is the best as far as I know.    Or so I'm hoping as that's what I bought:
http://eng.supercard.sc/

http://www.consolesource.com had them in stock.

I have used the DSi Acekard 2i and thought it was very poorly done.      To me it's worth paying $50 for a good card versus trying to buy one of the cheaper $20 cards.   At least with the DS (I used the CycloDS) you get constant updates, a great user-interface, good features - nice integration with moonshell, real-time saves, multiple theme support, user-manual, etc.    I'm hoping SuperCard DWTWO is worth the $50.

You sure you guys aren't thinking of the R4?   I have never heard of the R9.

Yes, you are correct, it is the R$. That's why I said (I think) it is the R9. My daughter has it with her out of town so I couldnt check.

I have an R4 chip for both of my kids works great.

The only problem is that the website that I used to use

http://rom-news.org/nds/

is no longer working.

Anybody know of a good site to get ds-rom's ?

Thanks
Mike

R4's are old school.

Edge was the best for DS, and now they have iEdge. Check DealExtreme.com
(it's not a mod, its a flash cartridge. no modding required)

It's all fun 'n games until you run out of space.

I have a DSTWO for sale

Just joking (half halfheartedly), bought two (one for a friend & one for my daughter as a spare to her CycloDS).   Now the father doesn't want the son owning a DS/DSi, so I have a spare.   I'll likely just hold onto it (i.e,. won't really offer it for a deal - so you're better off just buying directly).

I have no clue if the SuperCard is good - I'm hoping it is - and was hoping for jonny_eh or someone else to chime in on alternatives.   Surf the GBATEMP site for reviews as the card was just released for the DSi, so the reviews should be coming in.   Mine arrived already, but I don't have any microSD's to try it out (only own DS's too - but this card works on both which is cool.

The ackards seem to work fine.  Dealextreme carried them, but I don't think they do anymore.  They are cheap (about $11 I think they were), but the firmware updates seem to be slowing down.  A friend had the R4 and some of the newer games don't work, but do on the acekard.  However I've found a few recently that don't work, not sure if they do on the other cards, be interested to find out.

Tubourg, I might be interested if it'll run the newer roms.  I could use a backup anyway, it's only a matter of time before the kids lose one.

Kickasstorrents is where I find them.
