Right now I am really torn on picking this up. I have been offered a CV at a great price, the problem is, it's missing the A-20516 audio visual board. I would be looking for one or a trashed game to take it from. Donor games are the following: Congo, Ticket Tac Toe and NBA Fast Break. I rarely see Tic Tac Toe for sale, Congo is just a shame and so is the NBA FB, but if the games are just plain beyond reasonable repair I would consider it. Doubtful but would anyone have this board or a beyond project WPC 95 game for sale? I am considering picking it up anyway on the thought that I can only set up so many games and would just swap the board to change the lineup from one of my other WPC 95 games, then store one at all times until I find the board. If Wayne builds that MM there may be hope. |

Want my opinion? If the CV is in decent shape and it's a good price, grab it anyhow. A board will pop up eventually. |

c'mon, who needs sounds and display?! just imagine the ring master telling you to stick it where the sun don't shine while listening to the nice sound of a steel ball rolling on wood !
they do come up once in a while in the 350$ + and of course, now that you're searching for one, you'll never find it ... but hey, that's how I got to know Congo !! great game! HIPPOS!! |

Well it pays to look inside the head. Low and behold the board that wasn't supposed to be in there, is in there. |

So when is the CV arriving? |
| It has been scientifically proven that light is faster than sound. That is why some people seem brilliant........until they open their mouth!

So when is the CV arriving?
Arriving is one thing. Playable is something totally different. I thought I was up to a challenge. The challenge may be seeing how much one of these parted out is worth. |

here's to hoping the board boots up and is in working condition for ya... If Wayne would at least sell the ASIC chip for the wpc95 AV board, i could repair mine! and it would shut some people up that MM would be made, that the spare ASIC's were on the market. but waiting 12 months on a list is nothing compared to what the MM folks endure.. |

The ASIC's were up for sale a few months ago I thought.
Wayne did a presale announcement for the asics (ie join the list now, no deposit required) which was a better fate than the MM'ers and why i wish you luck, is that my OUCHO CV had a defective AV board.. i saw a broken pin on the dsp chip and figured i could get it fixed... that broken pin was a red herring. the real culprit was the ASIC (not the dsp) but the problem was i couldn't go back to the seller and complain because too much time had passed... only brave people should purchase wpc-95 games.. more and more av boards are dying.. less and less congo's or afm's exist to part out reverse engineering the asic is out of the question. CLIVE from coin op cauldron estimated it would cost at least 300K before the first prototype, let alone any guarantee that there'd be enough cheap bastards actually opening up their wallets to shell out the $500 for the boards to justify the expense. so we need wayne to release the ASICS since he has access to the original source code. black market ASICS do exist but the problem is CLIVE won't touch them.. i could have gotten an asic but i had to trade at least 400 usd worth of parts to get it.. there's no guarantee it would work and it's only natural the buyer would blame the seller or clive, so that's why CLIVE wont get in the middle of such situations. once again, i hope the board boots up and fully works for you... Mr. Hide got snarky with his description because he's reliving the experience of what any DMD pin without sound is... a painted sheet of plywood with some bearings rolling around. actually i'm having some bad flashbacks to that moment where i realized i had to buy a Congo and part it out. |
