From the top of the Pinball world with the Gand R deal, to the possible disaster of Gaucho Pinball due to my complete lack of DD as per usual...heres a thread of emails with him...you'll note I can get an MB for $3600 USD plus shipping...anyone?? .....note its about $600/machine for sea shipping...would come down to $450/machine if there are 3...others are listed too. Heres the current email thread....very detailed info.!!

Hello Jim,

Thank you for your purchase of The Addams Family pinball machine and for your follow up e-mail.

Correct, the machines are as exhibited, in very good shape inside too, with no rust or badly wired.
In addition, for good orders sake, and for your peace of mind, before final packing and crating we will e-mail you with an additional set of high detailed pictures of both machines (aprox. 16 pictures per game), including underplayfield, inner cabinet, inner backbox, playfield details, etc. Naturally, we would be receptive of any observation or additional picture which you may issue/request in relation with the provided pics.

After our due dilligence full cheching and testing, and the required construction/heat treatment of wooden crates, and the corresponding vessel space reservations and local Customs clearance process, we will head to deliver within 3 weeks of payment accreditation. (With full tracking information - Bill of Lading info) timely provided.

The resulting total payment amount, including Indiana Jones item 330164610931, and The Addams Family, item 330165335181, results as follows:

- Indiana Jones pinball machine: u$s 2,375
- The Addams Family pinball machine: u$s 2,300
- International Shipping & Expenses (2 games; sea-freighted): u$s 1,210

Total: u$s 5,885

Our Bank Account information is as indicated in our previous e-mail of date 9/20, point 3.
Naturally, as soon as funds are accredited (normally within 2 to 3 business days in transfers from outside the US), we will revert with confirmation. Please, let us know once it is issued, so that we may follow up.

Regarding Monster Bash, our price for this game fully shopped, ex works Buenos Aires (at our door) is u$s 3,600.
In the course of the following week, as soon as we may clear some space at the workshop to bring in the game from our warehouse, I will gladly take some pics and e-mail these to you. Should you be interested to add the game within the same delivery, I could work out the sea freight shipping cost for 3 games instead of two (where again, you may surely benefit from an additional saving on shipping costs).

Kind regards

Oscar

Hi Oscar..

I'm glad to have won the Addams Family machine...I can send you the $$$ on Monday morning, and will use the sea freight method.

If you don't mind I have a few questions. Since I won the 2 machines, I've had many emails saying that your machines have many problems, which I don't believe to be true. My question though as relates to the IJ and TAF is if the pictures on the auction are definitely of the machines I will receive, and if they are in very good shape inside ( not rusted out or badly wired). Again I don't believe this to be true, but I've never had unsolicited emails sent to me saying stuff like this. As far as I can tell, both machines look to be in exc.restored condition, so I'm hoping that is the case. I am also possibly interested in the Monster Bash, and I wonder if you can sends me details on that one, incl.price, pictures, condition,etc...

Thank you in advance for your help...

Jim Macfarlane

Hello Jim
Thank you very much for your purchase of our Indiana Jones pinball machine, eBay item # 330164610931 !!.
Well noted on your shipping address (197 Goldridge Drive, Kanata, ON K2T1J6, Canada).

We are currently requesting a shipping quotation (both air and sea freight) to our local shipping agent, and we will revert to you with the Invoice total as soon as we receive this information, together with our Bank Account data.

Yes, we have noticed that you are currently bidding too on another game that we have at auction, so, we will also let you know on shipping charges for two games (so that you may eventually save on shipping costs, and allow you a more knowledgeable bidding on the second item).

On other potential games for sale (other that the EM TKO - Gottlieb 1979 -, and our Konami DDR 7TH Mix (Max 2) Dance Machine, currently at auction in eBay), I will check our availability and revert to you asap.

Kind regards
Oscar

GET THEM AIR FREIGHT. TRUST ME.  Yes I typed in all caps.  If you want to go sea - Get a bank release for them as well, your bank will hold the funds, and forward them to his bank. Once your bank has been advised the goods have cleared customs, then they will allow the release of the funds.  Get these insured up the wazoo!.  And get a broker to clear customs in Canada.  His charges did not include local fees (Local to the port in which you are picking the goods up, he mentions local export fees though).

2 words. Air Freight, Air Freight, Air Freight, Air Freight, and 3 words - cover your a**.

For the extra $200, you get the goods in 3-4 days.  thats 3-4 days that these things are NOT exposed to sea air. Rough handling, various warehouses, huge forklift drivers with scars on their face named "eddy".  The less time it is in transit the better.  Get it insured. Get LOTS of pictures - its your only proof.  Get the container inspected, and signed off so that the insurance is valid.

Air Freight, Air Freight, and you guessed it.  Air freight.

At least then in bond, it will also arrive at your local airport.  You just pick up the manifest, and pay customs their 14%, and you have your machines.

I'm reading this thread and am i mistaken or all i keep reading is FEES, there is almost fees to open the box at your place once arrived.

Will they still be deals after all the fees has been applied ? How much will they finally be in the end, with all the fees added ? Just curious..

> Total: u$s 5,885 > Yes i seen that, but apparently there is some others fees as pointed by Subpacket ??

I guess we will have to wait until they are home so you can give us a full roundup Jim.

Its true...they had better be in real nice shape! The main reason I had chosen sea was because the additional costs for a second machine were very small. With air, the incremental $$ are much higher, which amounts to a total of around $875/machine in shipping, and then I'll have to pay the 14% when they arrive. In real nice shape, it still is decent. anything less than that, and I'm not getting any kind of deal. It seems once again I'm living up to my nickname!!!
