Their new single is now being streamed at http://www.acdc.com/. Pretty standard AC/DC, but it's great to hear some new stuff. Album to be released on October 20th. |

Pretty standard AC/DC,
Awesome! Yeah, it's the same AC/DC, but that's what makes them great, IMHO. Dance with the one that brung ya'. That's what pisses me off so much about some bands. They create a great sound, and then their next album is crap because they're too preoccupied with changing it to be 'deep.' |

True enough. Angus once said they've released the same album two dozen times. He might be right, but other than Blow up Your Video, they're all great, really. Sure, Bon was better than Brian (IMHO), but the spirit (err... attitude) remains the same and that's what keeps me tuned in. |

... they go to Wilkes-Barre, a little hick-town in Pennsylvania, but no dates in Montreal, Quebec, Ottawa or any other such city... gotta love it. Wilkes-Barre: 43000 Ottawa: 1200000 Montreal: 1900000 (island only) Quebec: 500000 Sherbrooke: 150000 Rimouski: 43000 Go figure... |

From what I heard, they would privilegde as opposed to arena set-ups (Hence the Roger Centre in Toronto vice the ACC).
For Ottawa, they are looking at the Rideau-Carleton raceway. But that would be for a the second leg of their tour obviously because of the cold weather. |

My guess is that they're still working out many of the dates. Their calendar still has lots of holes. |

That situation was blown WAY out of proportion by the media. Ask anyone in Quebec, they were thrilled about McCartney coming. A media member asked McCartney why he was in Quebec due to it being francophone. McCartney responded as written... get over it. It takes one media-moron to make a mountain out of a molehill. It is why I rarely watch or read the news today, other than watching it on the BBC. CNN and Fox News have to be the WORST out there for propaganda. They rather MAKE the news than report it. |

I am sure 99% of the Quebec people appreciated it, but they didn't make the news. That is the media! |

Had to laugh....those that complained said "..some Quebecers lament his participation evokes painful memories of English hegemony..." The battle was 350 years ago. So who can possibly remember that?
Damn funny!

You know it's typical in the industry to not announce all dates right away, right? Loaf looks into his crystal ball. He sees... he sees... he sees some guy in shorts playing an awesome guitar. He hears a hat wearing singer belting out some tunes. He sees a bell hanging from the rafters. He sees a bunch of fans go nuts at... ScotiaBank place? I guess the Sens must be on the road!
And then Loaf looks at his cell phone, and he sees the date. the year is 2009, the month is March, the date is fuzzy... 21st? 27th? There's a 2 there, but he's not sure what, if anything is next to it. Maybe the crystal ball will reveal more tomorrow. |
