I have to laughingly agree on this one.

And the Montreal radio stations. Why do all the announcers have to yell into the microphone and act like they are heavily over medicated with uppers?

I find french programming in general to have some bizaar Cirque du Soleil feel to it which makes it all kind of creepy in a way.

I admit I feel that Quebec is much more artistically and culturally "in tune" than most of the rest of the country, but it ends up with this creepy bent to it.

Try watching some German TV shows, they make the french shows look like they are on downers....   ...mind you German prime time shows included "Strip Tic-Tac-Toe" - I tried to learn German with that show
