Hello all!

I had a few questions about PAPA10 in October... I thought that others could also use this thread as reference for it... I know I am early, but, you know me...

Here is the official site:

http://www.papa.org/papa10/

1-  Whoever is going, poste here and say so!!! It would be cool to swoop down lika a MAACA-armada and blow all the weak-beer-drinking Americans what we Canucks can do!!!

2- is anybody going for the first day (Thursday, Oct.11)? Is it necessary to go?

3- is it necessary to register online first? do we register as a group/team or individually?

4- anybody have a hotel in mind?

I am DEFINITELY going this year... I am trying to convince JD to tag along as well!

Let's hear what you know!

1) Player 106, I'll also be going down with 3 other players from TOPL.

2) I always go for the full 4 days.  Is it necessary, I don't know that depends, the first 2 days are pretty quiet which means you can get allot of qualifying in without having to wait.  I also find there is less pressure involved so I play better.  If you think you are a really good player and won't have a problem qualifying then showing up on the Saturday won't be a problem.  Friend of mine that I go with usually shows up on the Saturday, last year he played his first qualifying entry for B division on Sunday and qualified on the first try.

3)  Depends, if you want the T-Shirt you might as well.  If not then don't bother, it saves money to pre-register if you want to T-Shirt plus you can get to pick your size which you may not have the option of doing if you try and buy it on site.  Formula is like this:

T-Shirt - $20, Registration - $5, Qualifying Entry - $10 for C, $15 for B, $25 for A.

So if you are going into C you save $5 by paying the $30 pre registration fee, $10 saved if going into B and if you?re going into A it's a no brainer because you?re going to be paying $30 anyway just to register and play a qualifying entry so you may as well get a T-shirt out of it.

4)  I've stayed at the Extended Stay and I can't remember the name of the other hotel, I'll have to look it up.  The Extended Stay was nice but I found a Hotel only a few KM's further away from the event but cheaper by $20 a night.  I plan on just using expideia again this year and finding the cheapest hotel in reasonably close proximity.
