When first reading your post, my screen is just wide enough to see the "$47" of the "$475" asking price (... but the "5" gets cut off until you scroll right )
I didn't realize this at first and was about to drive down to your place tonight to pick everything up for $47 ! (...I was even going to give you $50 !!!
...then..., for whatever reason, I saw the bottom scroll bar and realized I hadn't seen the "whole" price. !
... I got a chuckle out of that... (hey, I'm tired... )

lol Steph,
3 bucks for nothin'! excellent! It's basically all the Tron parts except the cab and the upper control panel plastic. Including a Nice monitor with Bezel.
Sparky, I need your help, please toss my account into the stratosphere, I need to take a break from this, and I came back for a moment. lol. Seriously, if you can, I'd appreciate it.
Here is some more detailed info on some of the parts:
I fully tested the PCB board and installed new ROM's on it. It is working 100%.
Control panel is also really nice, just drop it in and plug the connector in. No work more work needed for it. The joystick is an original Tron joystick (not a repro). Has a brand new CPO on it from Phoenix Arcade (they make the best repros in the world).
The bezel is also totally original, which is pretty rare, as most of them have messed up graphics on it after years of abuse in arcades. No need to buy a new graphics kit for it.
Also the back doors are in excellent shape with no water damage. Which is pretty rare as most Tron back doors are either broken, missing or have massive water damage.
Well maybe a few years ago but I don't think so NOW in light of the current vid market.
Then again I'm not a vid person and couldn't care less in the end...

...Just Ebay it all individually!!! Stop worrying about members' reactions. I got 300$US over a year ago for my complete EDOT control panel (with the spinner and nice stick) after offering it for 100$ and got no offers.
Never will i do this again f*** it i will Ship to indonisia & pay for the shipping , Before Trusting one of my own= (Someone from canada or locally) ^^

Well if you are not a vid person and don't care in the end, why did you bother to say it then?
Everyone is an expert when it comes to vid prices it seems. If you did you research you would see that a working Tron is still worth around the $800 mark.
While ebay is not a perfect indicator of prices, it can give you a somewhat ballpark figure on what you can expect to buy/sell a machine for.
These are two examples, and there are many more. For a fully restored, 100% functional machine, you are looking around the $1000-1200 mark.
YOU may not want to pay that price, and YOU may think it is worthless, but others do not think the same. I don't think you would like it if you posted something for sale only for someone to come along and post that it is not worth that price.
Maybe "excellent" wasn't the best way to describe the price, but I still find it a VERY VERY GOOD price for what is offered. And it is a great start for someone who wants to put together a Tron.
But I think Sparky said it best just to ebay all the parts. Very likely get more than that price selling it all individually.
Well if you are not a vid person and don't care in the end, why did you bother to say it then?
I meant it in the sense that I'm not offended by the price since it's not something I'd be interested in but I thought that for a pile of parts, the price wasn't great. Last I heard everyone here is still entitled to an opinion which also means anyone can be wrong.
In MY opinion, a working Tron was in the 500-700$ range so 500$ for parts with no cab seemed to be anything but a awesome deal.
I wasn't trying to insult you but the vid market HAS changed drastically except for a few classics. I take your Battlezone (my favourite vid of all time BTW) that you had for sale as an example.. It was in fantastic shape but difficult to sell(if you even sold it) because of current vid market. Obviously no MAME could give the feel of BZ but a lot of folks don't see it that way.. In the end the software/gameplay IS the same on MAME
So... If I offended you I apologize. It was MY opinion which is why I had finished my post with "My 0.02$".

Yes I was offended, not by what your opinion of what you think it is worth (if you think its only worth $100 or whatever, then fine, that's your opinion), but I was offended by posting it in someones for sale AD. Like I said before, if you had posted something for sale and then someone came by and posted that it wasn't worth that, would you be happy? I seriously doubt it. If you were posting in a thread about Tron/Tron parts in general, or a specific thread on how much Tron/Tron parts are worth, then fine, but not in someones for sale AD. I can't count how many for sale AD for pinball or arcade machines I have read and laughed at how much people are asking for them. Prices I would never pay. But I sure as hell aren't going to post that in their for sale AD.
BTW, I did sell my BZ, and for the price I wanted a few months back. Like most people have found out, it is not worth selling on the group here as no one wants to pay anything. Sadly you have to go outside the group to sell most things for a reasonable price.
Anyways, enough said on the matter. Lets just leave this to what the post was created for, to sell some stuff.

To quote Yosemite Sam, I say now HOLD ON there boy... I didn't say to never sell locally. Just keep in mind the following... if you want to sell quick and not get any flack (well, at least minimal...), sell on Ebay, but a local sale is always less hassle, but might take time, but there is a good chance you get your price.
Yes, the Tron parts are worth collectively a lot, but then again, the problem is that most might need just one part out of the lot. Case in point, my old EDOT. I couldn't get 500$ for it in it's entirety, but I got over 1200$ by selling the parts individually on local sales as well as on Ebay.
I stated that Craig should sell on Ebay since he stated he had seem to have had enough of the local market. I recommend selling the parts individually if you want to clear out stuff. Ebay is a gamble that can pay or cost you, but if there is no reserve, it is a guaranteed sale, and that is money in your pocket.
