Final Unit Cost :  $32 CDN   (cash)
                   $33.50 CDN (Paypal)  ...damn $1.50 fee !

[... but not bad considering the regular cost was $40 to ship within the US ]


I went to the post office to get a pricing quote on shipping,
and was told it would be $8 per package   ...which is a LOAD OF CRAP !
(...the thing weighs 80g !!! )

I'm going to buy a bunch of $5 stamps and mail them out anyways.
I've done this before and it works fine...

So shipping is $5.

I would strongly recommend combined shipping
(if possible) for folks who live near each other.
It's basically $5 no matter how many items I put in the box.
... so if 3-4 people ship to one address, the cost is $5 for all.

So for those in Ottawa who can pick-up at Jim's on Saturday,
or pick-up at my place, the cost is $32 CDN (cash).

If you want to pick-up but pay with Paypal, the cost is $33.50 CDN

For those who want it shipped, it's $33.50 + $5 Shipping per "package".
(.ie, if I ship 3 units in one package, the cost is 3 x $33.50 + $5 )

BTW...

Is there anyone from Montreal or Toronto who is coming to Jim's on Saturday
and who could bring some housings back ?   (...assuming that would benefit anyone ? )

I know Sparky is coming from MTL...
Is there any value in giving him the units for the Montreal folks ?
(...who could then Paypal directly and arrange for pick-up with Ian ? )

Just throwing ideas around to reduce shipping.

Ok, so far I've only got Mary-Ellen and Duane picking-up their clock housings at Jim's.

Does anyone from Montreal want Sparky to bring theirs back ?

As for the Toronto crowd, I don't think anyone will be coming down to Jim's ... is there ?
