The next Crest on the poll I conducted was Twilight Zone.

Here's a starting point.  I think the image on the backglass would not make a good crest...it's extremely detailed, and there's a lot of colours - which combined would make it difficult and expensive to reproduce.

As always, suggestions are welcomed, and may lead to you getting a free crest!  

As always, the minimum order is 50 units.  Pre-orders will be cheaper than buying it after the crest is produced.

Ideally, I'd like to only run 1 design.  I threw the other graphics up just to give people some options.  If everyone liked the other things better, I'd go with that...otherwise I'll stick with the Rod Serling Speaker Cutout design.  I like it...I think it's simple and elegant...but you know me....I like to make the majority happy, because you're funding it.

IMHO there has to be something more than Twilight Zone on the crest as this could just mean your a tv buff. "Bally" is a good start therefore I like the spiral with Bally on it. I would put a spiral with the clock and gumball machine flying around in there text to include the words Twilight Zone, Bally and Pinball.

Ok...HH is shipping...time to turn my attention back to the TZ crest.

I really like the Serling design, so I guess I'm the tie-breaker, unless anyone has some serious problems with that.

The question is...would you like a catchy saying from the game, like "Don't Touch The Door!" written around the edge.

I felt that way about MM until I had a real good flowing gave on ME's machine.

I think TZ has a great combination of everything but the kitchen sink combined with a deep rule set for its time and a great theme and art package.

My suggestion for that patch: "Lost in the Zone"

You likely get the idea, now, anyway.

Me...I put a magnet on the back, and hang them off the jackpost in my basement:





I know some have made it onto jean jackets.  A friend at work pins them onto his cork board.  I know of at least one member here who plans on having them framed, and hanging them on his gameroom wall.

It's really up to you what you want to do with them.  I make them just for people here, who want to commemmorate a great game somehow.

Pinball companies used to give them away to operators as promotional items, like this Creature from the Black Lagoon crest.  Most of those are gone and forgotten.  Every once in awhile, I track down original artwork, and re-run them.  Some of the designs are my own designs and are an "homage".

I was going to argue that it is a lit area but, judging by his face, his hand should either be flesh or shadowed. I think Adam is right.

Yes...you're right, it is an area that light is falling on.  If you look at the original artwork, it's the same...It will probably appear more pronounced on the crest than in the artwork, because they're only using 7 colours of thread...and it will be the same white as in the spiral.

According to the last poll I had up last summer, it's going to be the Williams logo (with the Williams name in cursive).

Seriously...it doesn't matter to me, as long as I can sell at least 50 of them.  Shoot me some suggestions, and I'll throw up another poll.

I've sent a message to the embroidery company...based on the fact I had to ask for the proof artwork this time, my fear is that they've already started production, and we won't be able to make any changes now.

It doesn't hurt to ask though.

Of course, since their proof artwork is very similar to the original artwork that's been posted for at least two months, I know you'll all be OK with whatever ends up happening, because you had lots of opportunity to offer critiques long before I sent the artwork off, right?

TZ Crests are in!  I'll post a scan in a bit.  If you didn't pre-order one, and would still like to buy one, the cost is $9 + shipping.

The embroidery company was already in production of the crests, and couldn't replace the "white" areas with a "lighter flesh colour".  I still think they look good, though.
