http://www.ipdb.org/showpic.pl?id=4858&picno=20614&zoom=1I thought I fixed all three problems but the ball is still getting stuck once in awhile. In the above picture the ball is getting stuck between the tower and the curved metal guiding piece. This is just before the hole that ejects the ball up for the Paths of the Dead. I tightened the tower to the maximum but that fixed it temporarily only, the ball is stuck less frequently now but still gets stuck about 20% of the time. I haven't given up yet and will figure out something. The other stuck ball problems have been fixed: - I fixed the left flipper lane issue by adding a washer under the plastic to raise it up a millimeter so the ball could pass freely - I fixed the ball getting stuck under the light by the left flipper by pushing it over with finger and tightening it a little more These problems existed all out of the box on a brand new game. Does Stern not even roll a ball around the playfield before boxing up the machine and shipping? I feel that this needs to be posted and I hope Stern reads it and decides to evaluate their pre-shipping quality assurance procedures. I am 100% aware that pinball machines are fickle and require maintenance so it is no big deal except that if it is NIB, you want a perfect game that also plays perfect for at least the first game you play. I got some figures likely being shipped out this week from Tom S.. Thanks for the help everyone. |
