Hey all,

so I have been playing my BSM for the last 3 months.   Having a blast.  That being said, every now and then when I first turn on the pinball,  I get a loud electrical hum from the upper flipper if I keep the flipper button pressed in for a couple of seconds.   The hum will slowly dissapear after 1/2 hour of playing.  Anyone know what the problem can be?  It's just an annoying sound, but I want to make sure no long term damage will happen if not fixed.

Thanks,

Stephane

I have the same issue on my regular SM. I thought it was just the great quality from Stern.

I was assuming it was the coil itself and was going to order a replacement. If anyone has any other suggestions, I would like to hear them also.

Just wondering if IBCRACKIN is having any issues with his BSM?

It has been scientifically proven that light is faster than sound. That is why some people seem brilliant........until they open their mouth!

Is the coil tight within the bracket? Is the coil stop flush or has it been knocked out of place ever so slightly and sitting at a slight angle to the coil?

Had the same with LOTR when I had it. There was nothing wrong with it.  It was just intermittently loud....
