That would be awesome. It'd be a slap in Steve Ritchie's face if they don't use him or his design though. If only they'd let him go whole hog on this one; chance to be an incredible game. It'd be great to hear SR and GS compromise for the love of pinball ... and not be too cheap on the toys either.

Spider-man has sold close to 4,000 units. That's relatively good, right? And there's still a lot of interest. I want one.

I used to want one too.

A Steve Ritchie Avatar would rock, he knows how to do big name franchises (T2, STTNG, SM). His designs that he sells on his site look interesting. I too hope that he's brought in to finish it, but my guess is that Borg will take the design and finish it, like they did with 24.

If you are right (and I'm not saying you aren't I just  have no idea) .. yup 4K in units is a big big number in today's market.

As long as he finishes the design, the game could be killer. 24 was "finished" by Borg, but I read that is was pretty much the game Steve designed and the game is killer. It's an absolute blast to play. I have no love for 24 the tv show, but the game is an absolute rush with a timer running all the time.

Meh I'm good with 24 (way better than CSI) but I wouldn't rate it killer ... fun tho

Boooooo!

I realize that Steve Ritchie isn't a household name but many of his games were very popular. He would add a great spin to the development story and marketing around the Avatar pin. Nostalgia sells and he's supposed to be a nice guy too. He deserves this. What has Borg designed that anyone REALLY remembers? SR is a pinball rockstar.

Oh some folks remember Borg designs ... we don't tend to like them .. but we remember them

I think that if this is true and from what SR has perviously written on RPG that Stern will buy the design from him (it is was fairly complete as I remember) so worst case it gets a tweak from Borg and not Borgafied

I thought it was "decent" until I got it in my home. Thanks to a very, very generous pinball friend (she knows who she is ) I have 24 in my basement on load. The game is absolutely incredible. It's fast and furious...even more than most SR designs. There is very little to slow the ball down, so it just races around. She did tweak the game slightly and turned off the ball stop on the left ramp. That increased the speed dramatically.

Sorry Dan, that's just not good enough. He needs to be a part of the whole darn thing including the collaborative process for the programming: music, sound and modes.

Imagine if there was a black-light mode with multi-power balls? That might be neat. You'd need two separate ball troughs though. Someone on RGP suggested lenticular 3D plastics.

Ummm, GNR? Although that could be a fluke since Slash is also credited. In my mind, Slash is the designer and Borg just did the engineering to make it all work. But that's probably an illusion.

Borg also did JP, which was quite popular, but IMO just ripped off TAF and ruined it.
