Hi Folks, I have a Mortal Kombat 2 that I picked up to put in one of my Locations. Plays great and looks great, my question is...

How do I get it to keep my settings for Coin play? I want to set it on 25 cents per credit and 25 cents to continue. I seem to have to use Custom to set it that way, or USA 3 works, but after I turned it off/unplugged it last night it seems to be back at 2 credits to start etc.

I see a quarter size battery on the board, is this the kind of thing that dies and needs to be replaced, or should it recharge itself?

Sounds like your Lithium battery which lasts a long time but never recharges and must eventually be replaced.

How many balls does it take?

Common one is CR2325 3V. Take a look on the back of it you should see a number. If your stuck for an electronics place out there try Staples or The Source.

Well, It is very Heavy, so I guess it depends how many Buddies I recruit to move it!!

Yes replace the battery.  I had trouble sourcing one myself for a reasonable price.  Most places like batteries plus wanted something crazy like $20.00 bucks for it.

In the end I was able to find it for $5.00 from a watch maker in China town.

After that all settings should be properly retained.

CR series battery will fit in the holder, however from what I can recall my MK2/NBAJam took the BR series batteries (slightly larger than CR series)

Well, I picked up a "C"R2325 instead of the "B"R2325 that was in there in the first place, Battery was $3.00 inc. Tax! The guy at Battery World told me the CR vs BR was just a manufacturer code.  Seems to work, So maybe he is right. They do seem to be the same size.
