Well, I bought one of the 32-1 cards for the Vectrex.  I figure it's not something I'll play often and if I want to play the homebrew (the free one's), I can always play them through an emulator. Price was really good, the only problem is I'll have to destroy an existing intellivision cart to fit this board in (this particular 32-1 is just the board, no cart).  Not bad, including shipping was about $41 US.

Wow!  Got the 32-1 multicart in yesterday (picked it up at the post office and didn't realize what it was until I took a look at the package today!). Is that some kind of record?  The Ebay sale was finalized on the 19th and this guy is located in France!  Still waiting for my Vectrex, should be in the next few days (I hope!).

Yay!  Got the Vectrex in today

Yay!  I plugged it in and the screen is very bright and steady and I don't notice any burn-in

Hmm!  Not sure if there's something wrong, the last Vectrex I saw was over 25 years ago but this one tends to give off a "humming" sound when it's on.  By any chance is this normal?  Seems when I touch the volume control or depending on what is shown on screen, the sound changes a bit. I can hear the game crystal clear, I guess the sound reminds me of the old tv's we used to have, there would always be that little background humm.

Yay!  I plugged in the 32-1 multicard and it works.

Drat!  It's the type where you have to adjust dipswitches depending on which game you want to play

Yay!  But since I only paid $50 canadian including shipping for the multicard, I'm still pretty happy. I took a look at that "intellivision cart mod" for this 32-1, I just noticed they have a little hole for the dipswitch so should be too hard to do.

For those experienced, what do I use to cut that little rectangle in the case for the dipswitch?  An exacto knife and a lot of patience?  Should be a clean cut that way?

Takes a pin-guy to tell a console-guy how to fix his console.  Look at the included file... and check this site: http://www.playvectrex.com/

Smart a** .  Thanks for the links, don't know if I'll be brave to try (option #2 is the way to go but like I told Brett not too long ago, I've never soldered before and do I want to experiment on my new baby?!?).

BTW, come on lads, who are the chaps who are downloading the files?  There were 5 downloads of the pdf so who else sees this as a must mod?
