Yay! Got the Vectrex in today
Yay! I plugged it in and the screen is very bright and steady and I don't notice any burn-in
Hmm! Not sure if there's something wrong, the last Vectrex I saw was over 25 years ago but this one tends to give off a "humming" sound when it's on. By any chance is this normal? Seems when I touch the volume control or depending on what is shown on screen, the sound changes a bit. I can hear the game crystal clear, I guess the sound reminds me of the old tv's we used to have, there would always be that little background humm.
Yay! I plugged in the 32-1 multicard and it works.
Drat! It's the type where you have to adjust dipswitches depending on which game you want to play
Yay! But since I only paid $50 canadian including shipping for the multicard, I'm still pretty happy. I took a look at that "intellivision cart mod" for this 32-1, I just noticed they have a little hole for the dipswitch so should be too hard to do.
For those experienced, what do I use to cut that little rectangle in the case for the dipswitch? An exacto knife and a lot of patience? Should be a clean cut that way? |
