one mans loss. another mans gain they say. I decided to unload this as I have a few exidy crossbows on the way, and I didn't want to end up at the local seven eleven with the rifle from cheyenne . Doesn't it go something like" big bills no funny business?" Nice buy, please update us with the results of this restoration, it is a great unique game.
It's strange -- out of all my purchases over the years, this one will stick in my mind as bittersweet. The Exidy shooters are pretty damned cool. Crossbow or Cheyenne were on my grail list (2 down, 3 to go) Add to that the new run of 440 multiboards (big thanks to Weasel for pointing out that it appears that these will be happening and encouraging me to get my name on the damned list) and I have a cabinet that I will never let go of. And, while I happily raised my card at the starting bid, I still feel guilty because it is worth more and *is* fully working -- just like Gerald said it was -- she needs a new filter cap, along with a regular cap kit, on the monitor and she'll be right as rain. If she had gone for what I thought she was worth, she wouldn't have come home with me ... so she's kinda like Mrs. Cheffo in that respect! The kids played it *in the driveway* for over an hour after I unloaded it -- they LOVE it and I haven't even told them about the multi kits yet. I'll try to do a good job on an article for GRM about the museum and maybe that will start to tilt the scales of karma back in my direction. Thanks GJD!! |
