teksavvy, hands down.

$36 (inclusive), static IP, 200gig u/d, DSL. Take $4 off if you don't need a static IP.

The only part that sucks is that it's DSL and your speed will rely on proximity to the hub, but otherwise, great deal!

Oh, and you can get a specific Linksys router that will use MLPPP and bypass pesky throttling from the big guys!

I hate Bell and chose TekSavvy also, opting for the "Premium" service rather than "Unlimited". I chose "Dry Loop" which means no phone line, instead getting Primus TalkBroadband. No complaints. I rarely use the phone but it's cheap and has free long distance, voice mail, etc.

Playable Now: Centaur II, Doctor Who, High Speed. Playable Soon: Breakshot, Sorcerer Later: Flash, Genie, Seawitch Fondly remembered: Firepower

With Teksavvy, if you opt-in for the $4 static IP, you also get access to binary newsgroups!

This translated means:
(a) You won't get that letter that Roger's / Sympatico send out if someone has caught you downloading torrents.
(b) You can download torrents a lot faster

I've never done it - a buddy @ work just boosts about it.   I'm on primus, so I'm throttled, but I don't receive the nasty warning letters, ...

A quick google got these links:
http://www.localgroupdeals.com/forum/archive/index.php/t-3.html
http://www.dslreports.com/forum/r21671799-MLPPP-Router

By the looks of it DD-WRT does not support it, but Tomato does.

Sorry not much help.

This is bonding (another use of MLPPP but not needed for (a) & (b) above:

Oh, and another thing...

When you call Teksavvy you get to talk to an actual person without having to listen to a robot commanding you to press a gazillion keys!

That alone is worth gold.

F#ck you 'Melanie'

I am one of those lucky people who is grandfather with bell.
get 8meg down and 3 meg up pay 55$ unlimited band with no cap and no throttling had them actually remove it off me because i never agreed to the service agreement seeing this is my account from 10 years back when i worked for them and does not apply to today's standards its not as concrete as there new one where you have no rights and they do.
So i got lucky.
Average about 400gig to 600 a month never a call or email.
but will never ever change my service tho because i can never get that again anywhere and last time i called customer service was 1 year ago said modem is dead they sent new one time before that was 5 years before bad line connection due to wind storm.

Life is like Pinball!! You never know where you will bounce or where your going but sometimes you have that one amazing shot But on the other hand you have those darn gutter ball where you just get frustrated.
