I'd agree with Gory, Laser War (and BK2K) are fast games (with the music to go along).  You might include HS and TGHSII in that list too.

Yep forgot about Laser War but it's the fastest game I've had..  The ramp sucks cause if you blink you'll drain off the ramp shot.

I always found that T2 was fairly fast too with lot's of flow with the 2 ramps.

Surprised no one has mentioned either ST:TNG or LOTR. Both very fast games.

F-14 can be absolutely brutal especially with the kick back.

Because we were not discussing the fastest to drain...  <

And the fastest to sell would certainly not be JM either

I don't find either of those fast.

ST:TNG has the nutral zone, lock shot, Mode start and the cannons which all slow done gameplay quite a bit.  The Warp factor shot is fast as hell but I wouldn't really call it a fast game.

Same with LOTR ball stops quite a bith with POTD, the Shite, gimil and the ring magnet.  But hell I love those pauses so I can ponder what I should be doing next.

Fair point. I guess I was thinking intensity of play. They feel fast because you have to constantly be thinking about what to do next.

See, and that's pretty much the exact thing I don't especially like about modern pins. Funny that we all have different tastes in that regards.  For me "no think", fast and furious, great loops, and good music or sound FX keeps me interested. (Or knock down targets in EMs).  Half the time I look up to see waht's happening on a DMD, and the ball drains on me!

Only because I never seem to have any cash when they're available.
I'd buy one if the timing was right.
