Ok, so I'm playing Lord of the Rings the other night, and I'm really in the groove. The first indication that this was going to be an AWESOME game was that I defeated the !@#$%^ witch king very early on (only the 5th time I've done it) and collected an elf gift for it. On my final ball, I also beat the last of the three movie multiballs and "Destroy the Ring" starts flashing. I review the game so far: each movie multiball beaten? Yup! all (6) elf gifts collected? Yup! "There and back again" played? Yup! OK, Valinor, here I come! Imagine my surprise when, after destroying the ring one last time, I'm told that "Valinor awaits but there is more to do: Collect all elf gifts". Curses!!!! I think there are actually 7 gifts to collect, the last one not being lit anywhere on the playfield. Sigh....

Anyway, I was completely pumped after that (66-minute-long) game. As it was I jumped my grand champion score from 324M to just under 400M. And I still have something to shoot for.

Then I got to thinking: "on how many games have I ever reached the wizard mode?" Uhhhh, wait a sec, how about this: "on how many games can I even name the wizard mode?". Since the internet knows everything, some research was in order. I present the list below as a challenge: given the wizard mode, can you name the game to which it belongs? No prizes, just have fun.

I do realize that what constitutes a "wizard mode" is rather nebulous. Some say it has to be more than just a multiball points frenzy or a one-time mega award. Whatever, I don't really want to debate that here. I'll post what I think the answers are in a few days. Feel free to debate with me then. Or add to the list if I've missed something; I'd don't claim to have done completely thorough research, or even played all the games below.
