Hi All,

As you may have noticed, I have a new machine in my collection (I500).

First of all, does anyone have a 'PDF' copy of the manual for Indy 500? The only thing I found on the web is the 'operators handbook'...

Secondly, this is where I need your input:

The cabinet is redone with 'after (mostlikely black) market' cabinet art (5 pieces). The previous-previous owner who installed these did it 'fast', meaning he didn't remove the bolts to apply it 'the right way'.

Would you:

a) keep it as is
b) use an X-acto knife to remove the sticker on the bolts and hope the 'lifted part' sticks on the cabinet
c) any other suggestion?

Before making wise-a$$ comments, please check the pics on my website...  http://www.frosken.com/cftbl

Thanks,

Frosken

Personally, i would leave it as-is.

I dont see much problems with it for now, but, like you mentionned, if you cut it, it might just not stick well in that area anymore etc...

OK, it is not how it was originally... but it doesnt look bad to anyone unless they are anal or unles you mention it to them when they come over to your place.

It does not show up well in the pictures.  But I know what you are talking about.

My advice would be to leave it alone for now.  Its on the head and sides depending on your game room config you don't look at the sides all the time so I would just leave as is.

There would be no clear way to extract the bolts in my opinion.  You will either cut too much or stress the decal when pushing the bolt out.
The only proper way would be to remove the decal .. then remove the bolts then re-apply.  hence my suggestion to leave it alone.

If you do remove the bolts and cause some damage or adhesion problems you could then put a black washer on the outside of the bolt to cover up the damaged areas.  But then that would not be factory either.

good luck.

I agree, I would leave in alone. It is barely noticable, as is. If you try to fix it, it will show more.

BTW, nice looking game.
