Going to spend a couple days at the Sheraton Fallsview with family...just wondering if anyone knows if any of the arcades (Clifton Hill or Hotel) have any pins to help satisfy my cravings?

I have been "forbidden" from entering a casino, so my next favourite substitues (slot machines and blackjack tables) are out!

Thanks in advance!

Last time my family and I were in Niagara Falls a few years ago, we played pinball & arcades at:
- Midway (Clifton Hill)
- arcade at Marineland

Not sure now what are the machines & conditions there...

Cheers,
- Sylvain.

Go to the indoor water park there, it's a blast!

Also talk your hubby into going to the Casino.. my wife gives me a $50 limit ...  which last time lasted about 4 minutes (no joke).  Time before that though I was up $200 and called it quits

My son and I went on a quick pinball hunt on the main drag, a few months back.  All we found was a POTC and (dirty) FG in one place.  I can't remember, but they were upstairs in the bar section.

I believe it was D&B?

The hotel with the KEG in it... overlooking the falls... (I think it's logo is green? anyway they have a small arcade on the same level as the Keg.  Last time I was there, they had a RCT and a POTC.

I was there in June:
There are sadly no more machines in the Great Canadian Midway, at one time they had an O.K. TZ, STTNG, T2, and the HD was well maintained. But aside from this, it's a nice place with all the recent renovations at the Boston Pizza section; huge sports bar with giant LCD screens, 15 lane bowling alley, and snooker/pool tables.

The Dave & Busters across the street has POTC and FG, but you can't just pay and play, you need to buy a swipe card and a credit level fee.

The Marvel Action Zone just down the hill is a disaster, no pins, broken games,(along the side wall they have lined up a string of broken games and parts of games, i.e. cabinet only-no monitor, driving game-seat only, smashed gumball machine), not to mention half of the lighting system is turned off or burnt out, (it's easy to trip over some blinded out kid), if that wasn't enough it smells really bad in there.STAY AWAY

I was at the Great Wolf lodge back in December and they had two pins, both Ripley's BION, both out of order, just like most of the redemption games.

And I'm not sure, but I heard the Skylon arcade is no more.

I must admit, I am perplexed. Is there actually a reason for having an arcade game without a monitor on location??? Or just a driving seat off of a game? Sounds (and smells) more like an operator's warehouse...

Well, I noticed that there was an arcade at the Marriott, (with the Keg) we WERE goign to stay there, I imagine from the view we got at the Sheraton Fallsview next door on the 31st floor (which was fantastic) that the Marriott is pretty darn near the best view...and their prices show it.  In any case we never made it across the street to the arcade.  Never saw a pinball machine the whole time.  By the time we could go to Dave and Buster's it was "Adult Time" only.

The best bargain was the Ripley's Belieive It  or Not Museum AND Moving Theatre combination.  The boys loved both, just about everything else there except the SkyWheel and the IMAX Niagara Falls movie sucked dirt....

I did end up splurging for the kids at the Great Canadian Midway at night after our Sky Wheel ride (fantastic since I have a problem with heights and especially ferris wheels and actually enjoyed it), but I really have to protest all those stupid redemption "kiddy gambling" games.  AS much as I LOVE a good Penny Falls (Coin Pusher) from my youth at UK seaside arcades, it disturbed me a bit that here I was showing my kids how hooked on gambling I was, and realizing how easy it was for them to get the same high..."put another coin in, we'll win for sure this time").  With two kids, I with the younger, we came away with an armload of tickets for our third of the $20+ bonus worth of tokens I bought, and my older son (who got the lion's share) came away with but a fraction...and although they seemed pleased with their stupid few pennies worth of Chinese plastic crap....somehow I felt the whole arcade experience was cheapened.

I say gamble for money, or pay for a game, but they should outlaw the redemption machines for kids, it's gambling at its worst as their's no control on odds or payoffs as there is in licensed gambling for adults.

For what we paid to go on a two day trip to Niagara Falls, I'll swear we could have gone to Florida and Universal Studios for a week (except for some airfare, of course).

I was there last week with the family,

The arcade at MarnieLand have a strong lineup:  Gateway, Baywatch, Hook, TMNT, Stargate, TOM and TAF.  There were all in very descent condition, that's a good way to end your visit at the park.

PINS:  HIGH SPEED, TOMMY

I am somewhat new to pinball... maybe 2 years ago I started to fart around with a good friend, but the last 6 months i just got hooked after a vegas trip... live in st kitts, and just found this forum!!!
I check the falls alot for pins... they all seem to be completely busted .... Skylon has 3.... all broke, been broke for years, but always on, I shut them down every time I go.
D and B... yupp they work. I just don't like the expensive beer and having to buy a swipe card... on the other hand I drove all the way up to D and B in Toronto to find the biggest arcade ever with NO PINS.
Lundy's lane has a Bowling alley with a small arcade, all broke, been broke for years.
The arcade at the go cart track has LOTR.

Bars get them and they come and go, I'll keep the falls list of games going tho when they pop up... we have D and D entertainment who switch out machines in are area, but the machines  never seem to work. I want to work there.

Anyways super happy to find this board!!!! I spend so much time looking for pins... hamilton, to the falls and every city in-between...
